October 7th Weekly Newsletter: Chalk the Walk, Day of Service

Weekly Newsletter: October 7

Chalk the Walk Event

We would like to thank all who came and participated in our “Chalk the Walk” Event at the

Orem City Park two weekends ago. We had several fantastic participants who created some masterpiece chalk art under the themes of Charity, Love, and Kindness. Our first place winner won $100 and other prizes were given out for style and creativity. We loved seeing members of the community come together in a socially distant and safe environment to enjoy the beautiful weather and spread kindness.

“Day of Service”

Surprise Pizza Deliveries

When: October 17th at Noon

Where: Across Utah County

What: We have partnered with a local organization “Daughters of the American Revolution” to participate in a day of service on October 17th. Our organization will purchase pizzas for dozens of our existing clients across Utah County. All we ask is for volunteers to go to the designated pizza shop on October 17th and deliver to an address that we will give you. If you would like to participate, please text 801-598-3993 and we can get you specific information.

If you can’t make it that day, please consider contributing money to our cause to help pay for service activities like this in the future and keep us up and running.

Many of these people cannot afford hot food and rarely get the opportunity to enjoy pizza. Most live off food pantry items and have been greatly affected by the global pandemic. We feel this will be a great way to put smiles on the faces of struggling families and individuals.

501(c)(3) Status:

We are now officially recognized as a non-profit entity by the State of Utah. We are working hard to complete official tax-exempt status. We will play the waiting game with the IRS and should be completely established and tax-exempt over the course of the next several months. Thank you all for your service and support.

In the last month, our volunteers have made 52 deliveries to 31 different households. We are so happy that we are expanding to better meet the needs of those in the State of Utah. We anticipate much more to come and are excited to serve with you!
